High Holydays

Our High Holyday services, now in their third decade, are renowned for their passion, inspiration, joy, depth, and enlightenment that move all in attendance and leave people talking about them for months afterwards.

In 2018 Rosh Hashanah is Monday Sept 10th and Yom Kippur is Wednesday Sept 19th. Both services begin at 10:00 AM. Doors open at 9:00 AM. The services are held at the Sanctuary 1157 Lexington Avenue between 79th and 80th streets on Manhattan. For further information please call 212-606-4066.

The Gospel Sounds of Jewish New Year

Once again joining us for the Rosh Hashanah services will be acclaimed Jewish “Kosher Gospel Style” singer Josuha Nelson, whose singing lends tremendous dynamism and energy to the liturgy — an experience not to be missed!

Additionaly, this year’s Rosh Hashanah service will be graced by the particiapation of the renowned social activist, Rev Dr William Barber. Dr Barber has been called a Martin Luther King Jr for our era, and his call for social justice and moral revival is central to our Rosh Hashanah service. To hear Dr Barber is to be inspired to fulfill the Rosh Hashanah mandate to be God’s partner in the repair and healing of the world, known as Tikkun Olam.
